Duke won its 4th national championship since 1991 - all under Coach K - in a thrilling game with Bulter. Gordon Hayward's shot from half court rimmed out as time expired and the Devils have won it all. After watching arch-rival UNC cut the nets down a year ago, what a way to respond! The Devils proved that they were the top team in the land by doing something that 25 straight teams could not: beat the Butler Bulldogs.

The national title count now stands at UCLA with eleven, Kentucky with seven, UNC with five, and Duke with four. But know this: Coach K - with this win - is now tied with Adolph Rupp for the second most with four behind John Wooden of the Bruins.

Brian Zoubek - Duke's center - proved to be the biggest factor to me in the latter part of this tournament. He did not score too much (under 10 ppg), but he constantly grabbed rebounds and was a force in the paint. His presence at 7'1" is hard to deal with for the opposition.

To note is that Duke was just 5 of 17 from three - so they weren't really "on" tonite in that department.

What a game! If either one of Gordon Hayward's missed shots in the final ten seconds goes down, this is a different story. In fact, it would have been a story for all-time! But they didn't go down, and that is why Duke is the national champion for 2010...
