Rivalry week is here. This is that week where friends and family avoid each other if they cheer for the rival school. It is the week where stress is plentiful, and sleep is not. It is that week where the next twelve months hang on three hours of football. It is the heart and soul of college football!

Here are my picks for the games of week 14.....

#13 Arizona State (9-2) at #11 Arizona (9-2) - 3:30 - FOX - Going to go with the visiting Sun Devils in this one. They have impressed me all year under third-year HC Todd Graham. Arizona State, 37-26.

Stanford (6-5) at #8 UCLA (9-2) - 3:30 - ABC regional - I have been big on the Bruins all year long. Last week I changed my mind on them and it stung me. No more. UCLA, 30-17.

Virginia (5-6) at Virginia Tech (5-6) - 8:00 - ESPN - In a battle of two teams underachieving, I am going to go with the home Hokies to get the win. Coach Beamer is respected by me, but I also think he needs to pass the torch on to someone new. VT, 35-21.

#16 Georgia Tech (9-2) at #9 Georgia (9-2) - 12:00 - SEC network - It has been a while since this game had an impact on things nationally, but this game could shake up the bowl picture. I think UGA has more weapons, and they are at home. Georgia, 37-30.

Michigan (5-6) at #6 Ohio State (10-1) - 12:00 - ABC - With the Wolverines reeling, and the Buckeyes just now hitting their stride, I will go with the home team to get it done in Columbus. Ohio State, 36-17.

South Carolina (6-5) at #21 Clemson (8-3) - 12:00 - ESPN - After 5-straight losses to the Gamecocks, I feel like I am almost kidding myself picking a Clemson win. But the Gamecocks are down a bit this year and CU's defense will keep 'em in it. Clemson, 26-23.

NC State (6-5) at North Carolina (6-5) - 12:30 - - Both teams are average at best, but I see a little more life in UNC than in the visiting Wolfpack. Going to go Heels here but they need to step it up in football. UNC, 30-20.

Florida (6-4) at #3 Florida State (11-0) - 3:30 - ABC regional - We all know Florida has some issues and finding a HC isn't the extent of it. FSU meanwhile is prety darned good and getting no respect for their unbeaten record. Gotta go 'Noles here to impress the selection committee. FSU, 38-21.

#4 Mississippi State (10-1) at #19 Ole Miss (8-3) - 3:30 - CBS - Going to go with Ole Miss to turn this once dream of a  season back into a damned good one after slipping in three of their last four games. A rivalry win always eases the pain. Ole Miss, 28-21.

Baylor (9-1) vs Texas Tech (4-7) - 3:30 - ABC regional - DALLAS - This will be a big Baylor blowout as TTU is not that good and the Bears really need to impress the committee if they are going to make the CFP. I am disappointed in how things have gone for the Red Raiders under Kingsbury. Baylor, 50-10.

#10 Michigan State (9-2) at Penn State (6-5) - 3:30 - ABC regional - The B1G has more good teams than they get credit for. Along with Minnesota, Wisconsin and Ohio State, Michigan State is also a solid program. They reach ten wins again with a win in State College. Michigan State, 39-13.

#18 Minnesota (8-3) at #14 Wisconsin (9-2) - 3:30 - B1G Network - The winner of this one will face Ohio State in the B1G championship game in two weeks. I am very impressed with Minnesota, but have to go Badgers at home. Wisconsin, 38-28.

Notre Dame (7-4) at USC (7-4) - 3:30 - FOX - With no clue at all who to take here, I will do my norm and go home team. These two powers of the college gridiron are in need of some repairs. Who will make them first? USC, 31-27.

#15 Auburn (8-3) at #1 Alabama (10-1) - 7:45 - ESPN - The Main Event. The Iron Bowl could once again have an impact on the national title if Auburn can spring an upset. The one-loss Tide are a sure thing for the CFP right now, but a two-loss Tide team is not. Alabama, 30-24.

#2 Oregon (10-1) at Oregon State (5-6) - 8:00 - ABC - Ducks. Big. It may be close early on, but that's it. Oregon, 45-13.
