With such a big important weekend ahead, I hate that I cannot dig deeper into these games. But sometimes real life calls and things such as work and family come first. So with these picks, a lot of gut feel is being displayed. I usually like to look at the stats some and read up, but ran out of time. It has been an awesome college football regular season, and I expect this weekend to cap it off in style! In 48 hours we will find out who is in the first ever CFP...Here are my picks for the games of Championship Weekend!

#7 Arizona (10-2) at #2 Oregon (11-1) - 9:00 - FOX - PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP - The Ducks have had their season ruined by Arizona before. This time, they get it done before a rabid Autzen Stadium crowd. Oregon, 36-21.

Houston (7-4) at Cincinnati (8-3) - 12:00 - ESPN - This AAC game will not have an impact on the AAC crown, but is a great matchup none-the-less. Going with the home team with the better record. Cincinnati, 35-26.

SMU (0-11) at UConn (2-9) - 12:00 - CBS - Man. Shew! What an ugly game! SMU can rejoice in the fact that help is on the way in the form of Chad Morris as Head Coach. As for UConn? I don't know. Just win this one and move on. UConn, 30-20.

Iowa State (2-9) at #3 TCU (10-1) - 12:00 - ABC - The Cyclones have ruined seasons before (think Oklahoma State), but that was at home. The Frogs roll here and stay right smack on the edge of making the CFP. TCU, 40-17.

Oklahoma State (5-6) at #20 Oklahoma (8-3) - 3:30 - FOX Sports 1 - It's a down year for the Cowboys, and a so-so year for the Sooners. A rivalry win always makes the season better, and after winning this one to go 9-3, OU can call 2014 a (moderate) success. Oklahoma, 34-24.

#1 Alabama (11-1) vs #16 Missouri (10-2) - 4:00 - CBS - SEC CHAMPIONSHIP - I expect the Tide to roll here and, fittingly for the Saban era, become one of the inaugural CFP teams. Mizzou has entered the SEC in style, but still have a step to take to win the whole league. Alabama, 44-28.

#9 Kansas State (9-2) at #6 Baylor (10-1) - 7:45 - ESPN - All eyes will be on this game as the Big 12 tries to sort out a jumbled mess at the top of the standings. It looks like the league will probably get a rep into the CFP, but could it be a team that doesn't even win the conference?? We will see. Baylor, 40-30.

#4 Florida State (12-0) vs #11 Georgia Tech (10-2) - 8:00 - ABC - ACC CHAMPIONSHIP - The ACC's only hopes of making the CFP hang on FSU, and with the way things have gone, even with a win that is no guarantee. This will be one hell of a game, and like the rest of the Seminoles' wins, will require a stress attack before it is locked up. Florida State, 36-33.

#13 Wisconsin (10-2) vs #5 Ohio State (11-1) - 8:15 - FOX - B1G CHAMPIONSHIP - The Buckeyes have been a different team the last 10 weeks since suffering an early season loss. I respect Wisconsin, but feel OSU is a bit stronger. Ohio State, 33-27.

Fresno State (6-6) at #22 Boise State (10-2) - 10:00 - CBS - MWC CHAMPIONSHIP - The Broncos won the regular season version of this matchup by 10 points, and I look for them to do it again. Boise State, 35-31.
